An exciting journey ahead

LEGO Ventures is a brand new part of KIRKBI and the LEGO Brand Group, and is a newcomer to the Corporate Venture space. There are two main elements to this marketing position. The first core responsibility is focused around B2C marketing, supporting our portfolio of investments & startups with their marketing activities – acting as a sparring partner around their marketing plans, with particular focus on growth and performance marketing, and advising them on how to build their audience & consumer base. A secondary key aspect of the role will more B2B oriented, with a responsibility in establishing the LEGO Ventures brand and communication style – how do we want to be perceived as an investor, what DNA do we bring from LEGO Group, how are we distinct from the core entities. Giving LEGO Ventures a voice in our outbound comms is an important part of this position (managing & posting on key channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, IG) and ensuring we are attending the right events, talking to the right journalists and presenting the right brand image.

A strong understanding of what LEGO Ventures & Portfolio-related content will appeal both internally within LEGO and externally is also relevant, and the creative eye to work with agencies to develop and publish the content on a regular basis.

Core Responsibilities

  • Supporting portfolio companies with their marketing and comms where relevant - helping them grow their audience, consumer base and business
  • Establishing and evolving the LEGO Ventures brand and identity, ensuring this is consistent across the board
  • Responsible for planning and executing the outbound LEGO Ventures communication via both direct and indirect channels (eg website, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Plan and create regular compelling content around LEGO Ventures and our investment portfolio to share internally and externally
  • Plans and owns the LEGO Ventures events calendar – supporting our regional investment partners in planning LV activities globally

Do you have what it takes?

  • Have at least 3+ years experience working in a marketing role
  • Overall understanding of growth & performance marketing
  • Some PR/Comms experience would be ideal
  • Knowledge around content marketing would be advantageous
  • Ideally both B2B and B2C marketing experience
  • Growth marketing experience would be a bonus
